We are trying a new experiment with the Wisconsin Fast Plants now. We put seeds in a plastic bag and then stapled a clear sheet to a paper towel then put them somewhere to see it they would grow there. I put mine outside to see if it would grow, but it hasn't yet.

The control is very successful. After the we let the plants dry out we pulled the seed pods and counted them and i got 118 seeds. My partner got well.... they died. I had about 9 seed pods.

day 33

  Happy Easter!!!!! I got a ton of candy and a new fishing pole this year. The seed pods are really starting to develop so we will start dry out the plants today. I have 25 seed pods in all and now only 2 flowers.

day 28

The plants are probably going to die this week.:( They should get the seed pods though. Otherwise, there is nothing much this time except pollinated.

Day 22

Not much today. Just pollinated again today and watered them more. We will start to get seed pods sometime soon, but I don't know when.

Day 20

Pollinated again today and had a lot buds blossom today, but nothing else really at all. They are supposed to stop growing and when they start to die they develop seed pods.

Day 19

Forgot to get the pic taken but I'm starting to get flowers on my plants and will have plenty of them by tomorrow. The flowers are yellow and we will start to pollinate when we get the flowers growing. We will pollinate them by using dead bees on tooth-picks. My tallest plant is about 6" and my smallest is about 4" but that one isn't doing that well.

I had to stake them today because they were leaning to far over and I didn't want the stem to snap.

My plants are doing awesome!! My tallest is about 3 inches and all of them are to bloom. I'm hoping that they will bloom either today or over the weekend. When the plants get too big we will have to put a ring around them and a stick to keep them up straight.

Not much happening today. Really just getting taller and a few more buds but not many. One is still falling over a little but I can't do much about that.

Day 13

Today we finally getting buds on our plants, well not all of the plants but most of them are getting buds. When they start to get the flowers we will start to do pollination with dead bees.

The normal plants are growing really well but they are starting to grow to the side so we did some work on it today. The salt water plants aren't growing so well and I don't know why. My plants are on top and my partners are on the bottom.

Day 11

Day 11. Today all the plants in control are grow great. The experimental not so much. I guess salt water isn't the best choice. My plants are starting to grow more leaves and they have like little edges.

Day 7. So the plants in salt water aren't growing so well and I don't know why, but the control plant is growing really well. The control is about 5 centimeters with about 2 leaves.

So today we did trance planting with all the plants. If you go back to my previous blogs you will notice that I had more plants than what I started with. Its cool how fast these things can grow. The salt water plant isn't growing that fast.

day 5

Our plants are growing a lot better since we planted them last Friday. They are mostly 3 to 4 centimeters tall and some of them are starting to become purple on the ends of the leaves.

Reading wise, i am reading Divergent well, not Divergent but Insurgent the second book of the series. Its awesome!!

Wisconsin Fast Plants- Day four

Ok, so I told you about the Wisconsin Fast plants that we are growing for science. There is the control and experimental, I'm control and what control does is it does everything perfectly. Experimental does something else. They try different things than the control person. My partner and I tried salt water instead of normal water. I think that she may have planted a little to deep though.
My plant is on top and my partner is on bottom.


Wisconsin Fast Plants! Finally, they are here! We finally get to grow some Wisconsin Fast Plants at school. We are going to start growing them on Friday if we can. Did you get to plant some when you were in school?

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile! We are trying to take the Iowa Assessments this week but half of the school week was canceled so we have to go longer with them. Truly I don't like them that much but we have to get them done at some point. I do like some parts of the test though like reading and math but I'm not that fond of some of the other tests and can't wait to finish them.

Right now we are reading about Civil Rights for women and African Americans and who were against them and on their side. Even though it took more than 100 years for African Americans to get their Civil  Rights law passed through. African Americans still had many people that thought that they should not get the right to vote they still voted whether or not others thought that they should. Have you ever been in a situation where other people think you shouldn't do something but, you do it anyways because you think it's better doing it than not?

During Christmas break I did a lot of sledding and playing with my family. A week before Christmas break I had a pre Christmas at my grandma's house. It was awesome! All my cousins, uncles, and aunts where there. When we finally got to open presents I got socks, a football, nerf guns and some other stuff. I hope you got some cool stuff to!
